The riots totally shook up the UK last week. Politicians, the police, the media, the middle class, shop owners, black folk, the Sikhs(oh my gosh), my godson…in short everyone. I’ve talked and commented ridiculously over the last week about responses to the riots and the highly offensive sweeping generalisations of David Starkey. Let’s just say this week, some people across the country have been showing their true colours. I wrote this track after I got tired of responding to ignorant people on forums who thought everyone looting was black, how Starkey was right and when a journalist called Paul Routledge from the Mirror said he blamed hip hop music for the violence of the riots. I thought to myself, that’s it I’m off to the studio to start a riot!

i love it!
you have an amazing talent. Don’t let anyone tell you different.
Thanks Akilah! My love to your children
Excellent, inspiring – this should be played from loudspeakers on the streets of London!
Play this on your Loudspeaker on the streets of London…the beginning of a new piece, me thinks
