BBC – Black British Citizen

3 Mar

I’m too Black to be too British, too British to be black enough for my village

Ever felt like a stranger in your own home? That’s the basic essence of this song. I wrote it back in ’98 or ’99. Recorded with Dave Randal (guitarist in Faithless). Dave’s a real cool guy and also played lead guitar on one of my tracks called Radio Times.  The chorus was meant to be sung by a male vocalist but it never got finished and the song eventually floated off into the ether. I later used part of this track for another track called Push.
